WELCOME TO THE PLAYHOUSE THEATRE
The Playhouse is one of Ireland's best-known and loved Art Centres, and was founded in 1992 by Pauline Ross with a grant of just £300. It has grown to become one of the largest, most productive and vibrant Art Centres on the island of Ireland with a remit to simply "Make arts accessible to all".
Our work is about engaging, entertaining, educating, empowering, challenging, confidence building and having fun, as well as providing an even wider range of services to the community.
You can also hire The Playhouse; our new auditorium and workshop spaces are ideal for conferences, seminars, and training days. Situated in the heart of the historic walled city, our state-of-the-art auditorium has seating for up to 175 delegates, with additional breakout and training rooms available in one of the most unique settings in the North West of Ireland.
Whatever your needs, The Playhouse can provide you with a professional, efficient service for your event. For more details, please contact us on 028 7126 8027 or email us on: info@derryplayhouse.co.uk
