We ask anyone who is visiting an event at The Playhouse provide proof of either

  • Covid-19 Vaccination (Double or Single) in the form of an NHS Vaccination Card or
  • A negative PCR test in the last 48 hrs in the form of an email or SMS from NHS or other government approved testing centres or
  • A negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 24 hours in advance in  the form of an official SMS message which you will receive after completing and registering your Lateral Flow Test result at: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
     

At The Playhouse we do the following to protect public health:

  • We clean the building daily
  • We fog the public areas of the building with anti-viral fluid once per week
  • We provide hand sanitisers – please use them
  • We ventilate rooms during activities


If you become unwell during the course of your visit please notify a member of staff.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or request the ticket holder to leave the premises and to take appropriate action to enforce such a request to Please be aware that if you are unable to meet the requirements above you may be refused admission and offered a full refund.

In the theatre

 For everyone's safety we ask that visitors continue to wear their masks when seated in our theatre.

Mobile phones/pagers/watch alarms etc must be switched off during performances.

Cameras and audio/visual recording equipment are not permitted to be used in the auditorium, without prior consent.

We reserve the right to alter or cancel performances without prior notice if circumstances make this unavoidable. In the event an event is canccelled a full refund will be made available.

The train station in Derry / Londonderry is on the Waterside of the city. To reach The Playhouse you need to cross the river to the Cityside and head for the Walled City Centre.

The bus station is just a few minutes walk away. To reach The Playhouse you need to walk up the hill towards the Walled City Centre.

Our building has received The William Keown Trust Access Award in recognition of The Playhouse and our architect's commitment to making our new building accessible for everyone in the community.
We are also applicants to the Autism NI Autism Impact Award. This means our staff are Autism Aware, and able to provide support, ensuring individualised customer service and communication for those with Autism. We have also provided adjustments to our building to help individuals with Autism use our premises.
The Playhouse also operates an Essential Companion Scheme to ensure everyone can enjoy all our services and facilities.
