The Legend of Luke Kelly - featuring Chris Kavanagh Friday 25th May 2012 8pm

Having just returned from an 11 date tour of Germany, where he performed as singer with Folk Legends, The Dubliners, Chris Kavanagh will bring his acclaimed ‘Legend of Luke Kelly' Tribute Show to The Playhouse for the very first time.

Celebrating 10 years of this ever popular show, ‘The Legend of Luke Kelly', brings to the stage the many hit songs made popular by arguably Ireland's greatest ever ballad singer, Luke Kelly.

Chris Kavanagh not only bears a remarkable resemblance to Luke, his natural singing voice is extremely similar to the iconic voice of The Dubliners.

Accompanied by excellent musicians, uillean pipes, banjo, whistles and guitars form the back drop to this high quality production. The Town I Loved So Well, School Days Over, Scorn Not His Simplicity, Free The People, Joe Hill ... all of these classic ballads, plus many more, will make the rafters ring at the Playhouse on May 25th.

This performance by one of the greatest ballad voices of today, Chris Kavanagh, is not to be missed by fans of Luke Kelly, The Dubliners and Irish Ballads in general. Early booking is highly recommended.

Tickets: £15/ £12.50
