Repose An art exhibition by SOLIMAR Tuesday 19th March 2019 to Monday 1st April 2019

Life is cyclical. Day fades into night and turns back into day as the sun rises. One season gradually gives way to the next.

The continuous succession of birth, death and rebirth permeates nature, and in between everything reposes.

It becomes necessary to disturb the repose of the body to not counter the heart’s create...

Meet the artist on the 23rd of March from 2 to 4pm.

Solimar Nogueira (Harper)

Born in Brazil

Lives & works in Northern Ireland, UK

Born in the state of São Paulo/Brazil, Solimar developed her passion for arts from a young age. Following her specific affection for words she earned her doctorate in Linguistics in 1998. Previously, she pursued a master’s degree in Comparative Literature (Brazilian, Angolan, Portuguese), in Journalism, and in Marketing & Advertising. Alongside this she also brought up her children and moved across continents to settle in Northern Ireland, where in the last 18 years she continued pursuing her linguistic tendencies by teaching Linguistics and Modern Languages, and working as a translator/interpreter. Throughout the decades however, Solimar intermittently persevered with her love for fine arts by experimenting with drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, mosaic and collage, until she finally dedicated the bulk of her time and soul to making and exhibiting her works.

Free. All are welcome
