Freelance Animator

Northern Ireland Resources Network (NIRN) in collaboration with The Playhouse, are seeking to commission a freelance animator for a one-off, short-term piece of work as part of the Artitude: Climate, Culture & Circularity project.  

Brief for Animator: 

You will create a simple narrated animated flipbook of an existing illustrated story. You will not need to create any new illustrated assets, but will work with an existing 12-page digitally illustrated product and a separate narrated audio recording to stitch them together and bring the story to life in audio-visual format. 

Fees: Day rate of £300/€350 based on 3+ years of animation experience.

Completion Deadline: The animation must be completed by 10th May 2024.

Applicants are invited to submit their CV and 6 images or extracts of work, along with a statement no more than 2 sides of A4 letter explaining your interest in this project, showing the following under sub sections with headings OR a no more than 3 minute long voice recording explaining your interest in this project and responding to the headings below;

Main artform/s or practice. 
Examples and images or extracts of work showing recent experience in the delivery of a similar project. 
Examples of experience working with a creative team and responding effectively to a project brief. 
Examples of when you have successfully worked with a team to achieve a deadline within a similar timeframe. 
A timeline and budget for project completion.
