ICAN presents Nightwind By Hector Aristizábal Tuesday 6th November 2012 7-8pm

Theatre artist Hector Aristizábal, who survived civil war and torture in his home country, has been working in Derry/ Londonderry as an artist in resident with the Playhouse International Culture Arts Network, ICAN.

Trained in theatre and as a psycho-analyst Hector has brought the transformative power of theatre to local facilitators and the community through a series of masterclasses and workshops.

In a harrowing solo performance of his play ‘Nightwind', Hector reenacts his arrest and torture and explores possible outcomes.

This unique performance will be followed by an optional workshop whereby guests are invited to learn more about the theatrical processes that Hector applies as a means of sharing his experiences and exploring social and political tensions felt by others.

Free/ Booking is recommended. To Book contact Elaine Forde – 02871 268027 or elaine@derryplayhouse.co.uk
