All along the Western Front there is serenity and a tragic beauty that preserves the memories and secrets of a lost generation of young men from all over Ireland and beyond. They had different backgrounds and different faiths but on those battlefields of France and Flanders, they fought and died together, all boys of the island.
On this Remembrance Sunday, Songshed bring you an evening of evocative music of WW1 featuring some of the songs of award winning composers Richard Laird, Sam Starrett and Tracey McRory.
A number of invited guests will join Tracey and Richard on stage for this very special evening:
Richard Digance has performed to an audience of eight in The Falklands and to half a million at Knebworth with The Beach Boys and Dire Straits. He has earned a BAFTA Nomination and a Gold Award from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. This is Richard's first ever performance on the Island of Ireland!!
