The Playhouse's Digital Dialogue Project needs your face!

Posted on: 16th November 2012

The Playhouse's Digital Dialogue Project are asking for local faces for a unique catalogue of portrait photos representing the ‘Faces of Derry~Londonderry' for 2013.

Four groups of young people from Derry Youth and Community Workshop, Joblink Rutledge, Lilliput Theatre Company and Foyle Down Syndrome Trust have been working on creating the video as part of The Playhouse's City of Culture Education Projects.

"All next week the participants will be taking portrait photos of the public, and this is where we need your help!" Sharon McLennan Head of Education at The Playhouse said.

"If you have five minutes of free time and plan on going to Foyleside Shopping Centre then come along to Level 3, outside the Food Court, between 2pm - 3pm on Monday, or between 10am-12pm on Thursday or alternatively why not drop by between 11am-12pm and get your photo taken. We need as many people as possible to create the best reflection of "The Face of Derry~Londonderry"!"

This work is Phase II of a two part project in the run up to the UK City of Culture 2013 celebrations, at which point, Phase I (Places of Derry~Londonderry) will be joined with Phase II (Faces of Derry~Londonderry) into one Digital Dialogue Presentation of what the city means to local people today, which will be presented as part of The Playhouse's Education Department's City of Culture Events.
