Have you got a story about something that happened to you along the border, North or South during the Troubles? Would like to share that story? Does someone you know have a story?

We are looking for 6 participants to #ComeEngage with us and share their stories on camera. The interviews will be filmed for an immersive documentary in Virtual Reality with ambisonic audio entitled ‘Frictionless’. A film that will give expression to the testimonies of survivors, victims and former combatants involved in incidents that occurred along the border during the conflict.

What does a ‘hard border’ mean to you? In a new medium that allows the viewer to immerse themselves in the locations, spaces and the lived experience of the other, the theme for the film will be the idea of border. Every border has two sides, every story has at least two sides in respect of our recent memory of the conflict and yet the idea of border acknowledges that this may not be a frictionless or uncontested space.

Have you or do you know someone who has a story to share? The commitment is minimal, we will only take up one day of your time to film your story over the next few weeks with a virtual meeting beforehand. All filmed by adhering to government guidelines on social distancing. We welcome stories from every community on this island. Please get in touch if you would like to know more or have a story that should be told.
