Showcasing new plays by the finest local writing talent, including Oscar nominated playwright Dave Duggan, director and playwright of 25 years, Anne McMaster, actor Dan Gordon, and a new musical comedy by much loved BBC presenter Eamon Friel, the Playhouse September to December programme is not to be missed!

Local bands such as ‘Revivor' will be bringing their special high-energy performance to The Playhouse stage as well as musicians from further afield, including East-coast singer-songwriter Amelia Curran, world-class guitarist Preston Reed and, the brains behind the classic song ‘Wild Thing', major label American recording artist Chip Taylor.
"In our whole 18 year history The Playhouse has never had such an extensive and lively programme, overflowing with local and national talent of all kinds" Áine McCarron, theatre programmer at The Playhouse said.
"And that is exactly what we would expect in the lead up to the city becoming UK City of Culture in 2013, and a sneak peak of what is to come in the years ahead for the arts in this city.
"On top of all the very exciting shows coming to The Playhouse, we also have several home-grown Playhouse productions on the bill, including 'The Sea Farer' by Conor McPherson from November 16 to 20, the triumphant return of the hilarious 'Bouncers' by John Godber from September 7 to 9, and 'The Music Makers' by Eamon Friel from November 10 to 13."
