Christine Bovill presents presents Paris Friday 11th October 2019 8pm

Award winning chanteuse, Christine Bovill returns to The Playhouse following her massively successful sell-out show, Piaf.

In Paris, an award-winning 5-star hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, for the past three years, she beckons you back to the Golden Age of French Song; a demi-monde of heroes and outcasts, cynics and bruised romantics.

No gimmicks. No pretence. Nothing but a voice – smoky, evocative and emotive - singing of life’s triumphs and tragedies. With drama, pathos and pizzazz, the show casts a sepia-tinged spotlight on the songs and stories of Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara, Juliet Greco, Charles Aznavour and more…

Come and be transported into a Parisian-scented twilight world of song.

“Something that will stay with you for the rest of your life….I wasn’t prepared for the effect her voice would have on me.” Sunday Times

Tickets £12/ £10(Includes £1 development contribution)
