Concern Art Auction Thursday 7th December 2017 8pm (mulled wine and mince pies from 7pm)

The Derry branch of Concern hosts an auction of donated works to raise much needed funds for the Concern Emergency Appeal, which provides food and shelter for the poorest of the poor in 26 countries.

Local artists have donated paintings and other pieces of art for the auction, which will have prices to suit all pockets. The auction will include pieces of art in different mediums- oils, watercolours, lithographs and styles. Some are by well-known and established artists, while others are by artists who are still waiting to be discovered.

This is an opportunity to get an unique piece of work and make a donation to a worthwhile charity. An ideal Christmas present.

Items to be auctioned include: an oil painting by Shiela McClean; a limited edition lithograph drawing of the Gates of Derry by Madeline McCully; and a pair of Derry streetscapes in watercolour by Thelma O'Donnell. Other artists to donate their work include Kate and Kevin Rafferty and Noeleen McColgan, from the Green Door Gallery in Port na Blagh.

All items to be auctioned will be on display in The Playhouse prior to the auction.

Viewings from 10am to 8pm.

Admission £5
