Community Action for Locally Managing Stress (CALMS) presents CALMS myTunes Challenge Finale Friday 17th October 2014 7.30pm

The final event for the myTunes Challenge!

Would you like to win £350? DO you have a talent for songwriting?
If so, then myTunes Challenge could be the platform for you to express yourself and also give you the opportunity to gain recognition of your talent.
Former entrants of the competition include acts such as The Dirty Words, The Q, Chris Conaghy (Our Krypton Son) and Kevin Brown. In the words of Stevie from The Dirty Words: "It is an opportunity not to be missed."

This final event will be held in The Playhouse, Friday the 17th of October. The myTunes Challenge is open to all songwriters aged 15 plus and entries from all genres of music are welcome.

The challenge provides the opportunity for all talented songwriters from different musical backgrounds to showcase their talent and the opportunity to compete with other young artists. The aim of the competition is to nurture new talents in all types of music, from rap and rock to pop and jazz.

Many young people find music a medium that helps them to manage everyday stress as music can energise, invigorate, motivate and stimulate. How many of us listen to our iPods while studying, working and relaxing?

Top Prize is £350 and runner up prize is £50. Closing date is Friday the 10th of October and the entrance fee is £20 per application.

If you think you have what it takes, record your song on a CD, complete an application form,
