As David lan, former director of the Young Vic recently said, "If this virus had been designed to destroy theatre it couldn't have been designed any better".
Our hearts are aching for the theatres already lost, and the theatres we could still lose to the Covid-19 crisis.
Since Covid-19 and its devastating effect on the world of the arts, The Playhouse has developed a an imaginative digitally led programme, broadcasting live around the world as part of our new Digital Playhouse- enabling us to thrive in a new artistic and theatrical landscape.
This new online broadcasting programme has already seen the online live premiere of several free live theatre pieces, events, workshops, a major Peacebuilding conference and even a Digital Arts Festival for 4-7 year olds.
While we undergo this change, the usual offering of our Applause Club, as listed below, have been unavailable. We hope that you may consider purchasing membership despite this, as a means of supporting our theartre. We hope resume and even expand Applause Club benefits as soon as we can.
Join us on this adventure, donate to help us survive now and thrive in the future, and come play in our #DigitalPlayhouse....
We can't wait for you all to #ComePlay with us again soon.
