SO MUCH MORE THAN YOGA CLASSES Thursdays 10.30am to 12pm. Ease yourself into the day and give your mind and body a gentle awakening! These classes will introduce you to gentle stretches, breathing and relaxation techniques as well as meditation and affirmations. The practice of Yoga helps to increase body awareness, flexibility and energy. It improves posture, enhances the quality of your breathing and reduces stress. FOYLE CAMERA CLUB was established to provide an environment for local photographers to improve their photographic skills. Welcomes photographers of all levels and from all age groups. Meets first Tuesday of every month between 7pm and 9pm.
MEDITATION WITH CHITTA Tuesdays 7 - 8.15pm. £6 per class pay as you go. Dates for Autumn 2016- Sep 6, 13, 20, 27, Oct 25, Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. A great opportunity to be guided in meditation and to listen to interesting and informative talks that will inspire and uplift, help you to improve your state of mind and learn how to deal with problems and stress in a more constructive way.
These classes will be guided by Buddhist Nun and Resident Teacher Kelsang Chitta. She has been a student of Buddhist Master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 12 years and was appointed the Resident Teacher at Potala KBC 5 years ago. Since then she's been teaching and guiding retreats all over Northern Ireland and is known for her warmth and down to earth approach.
Each class starts with a guided breathing meditation, followed by a short buddhist prayer, a talk and a final guided meditation. There'll be an opportunity to relax and ask questions after class if you wish. All are welcome. Each class is self contained so its not necessary to attend all of them, just those ones you are able to make.

FOYLE OPERA Every Tuesday from 6.30- 8.30pm. The newly-founded Foyle Opera has both Adult & Children's choruses. Weekly rehearsals take place on Tuesdays at the Playhouse. Foyle Opera will perform a major production in 2017, with Orchestra & professional soloists.
In December both children's and Adult choruses will perform in an wonderful, candlelit Christmas concert, in the Playhouse Gallery. Under the tutelage of professional, international soprano, Ann Jennings, This new company has an open-door policy for both Children and adults alike. Membership is open until mid September.
