Threads of Resilience' at Balor

Posted on: 22nd October 2012

The Omagh bomb, mixed marriages and the unseen truths around the Troubles are all explored in an empowering theatre performance coming to The Balor Theatre Ballybofey next month.

Produced by The Playhouse ICAN project, 'Threads of Resilience' enabled a group of ordinary Omagh women to use storytelling and theatre to express their personal stories in a poignant and surprisingly funny performance.

The performance will come to the Balor Theatre on Wednesday 21st November at 8pm.

These stories of conflict have resonated strongly with audiences in Omagh and Ballymena, many of whom shared their own memories in post performance discussions.

The performance is free. To book contact The Balor on (00353)74 9131840.

Or for more information contact Elaine Forde, ICAN co-ordinator on elaine@derryplayhouse.co.uk or (028)71268027.
