Music Production and songwriting to feature in New Artskills programme

Last chance to sign up for our new Autumn Playhouse Artskills beginning late September ‘14

Musically Creative? Interested in songwriting & production? Not currently in employment or training?
Artskills are excited to announce that musical production and songwriting will feature in the new Autumn run of Artskills to be held in the Playhouse.
Alongside the focus on music, Artskills also will feature Film and Video, Digital Photography and Computer Skills

So: Are you interested in gaining OCN and CCEA nationally recognized qualifications through the creative arts? Do you want to improve your skill set, your employability and your CV...and have fun along the way?

Artskills, an award winning and innovative project, is excited to announce this new 12 week course beginning in the Derry Playhouse September 2014. Artskills, is an interactive 3 day per week course, and it offers participants the opportunity to engage in enjoyable, creative training that increases their skills set, enhances their confidence, and also affords them employer recognized qualifications.

Expenses related to travel to and from the Derry Playhouse, lunch and £100 completers' bonus are all available - as is a weekly £25 EMA payment for those eligible.

The Artskills programme, in a mutually supportive and neutral environment ensures that all participants are given every chance to succeed - and that they are signposted towards additional training, job opportunities and pathways to further develop skills in areas such as Film & Video, Creative Writing, Digital Photography, Web Design as well as Literacy and even Songwriting.

The course is offered on a first come, first served basis and spaces fill up quickly.

This new Artskills project is announced after the project recently received the Claire's Award for Community Impact from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure.
