The Playhouse International ICAN has announced a vibrant programme of up and coming events. All events are free and all are welcome.
The first is a master class lead by Dijana Milosevic Co-Founder of Dah Theatre, Serbia. During this master class Dijana will demonstrate how theatre methods and techniques can be used to bring about social change. This is a skill building master class suited to all those theatre practitioners, educationalists, peace builders and anyone who is curious.The master class is in the Playhouse on 22, 23 September, 6 and 7 October from 10.30 - 2pm.
Secondly Dijana Milosevic and Cynthia Cohen will co-facilitate Acting Together on the World Stage: Resilience and the Moral Imagination. Cynthia is Director of Peace Building and the Arts Brandeis University, Boston and has devoted her career to evaluating tools available to artists and peace builders in areas of conflict.
The master class is in the Playhouse on 26, 27, 28 & 29 September from 10.00 - 2pm.
Lastly the Irish Premiere of Acting Together on the World Stage shows courageous artists working in conflict regions Serbia, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Israel, Palestine, Argentina, Peru, India, Cambodia, and Australia and describes exemplary peace building performances and tools for the creative transformation of violence. Screening at the Playhouse Theatre on Wednesday 28th September at 8.00pm
