Guildford School of Acting professor to hold special workshop

The Head of Singing and Music at The Guildford School of Acting will hold a special one off workshop in The Playhouse this month.

Professor Ross Campbell will give expert tuition to Singing Teachers and students who want to be top of their field.

The Guildford School of Acting has an international reputation as a Centre of Excellence, and GSA graduates appear in every West End Musical and International Tour.

The workshop, which will be held in The Playhouse on Saturday October 29, will teach participants methods and techniques to current Professional Industry Standards, explore correct and safe Vocal Technique and teach how to successfully prepare students for Drama School Entry Auditions and the GSA Musical Theatre Singing Exams and Diplomas.

The workshop is being organized by Music Theatre for Youth, The Playhouse and Ki Productions.

Kieran Griffiths of Ki Productions said: "This unique workshop will give participants the chance to take part in a very exciting venturewhich is designed to nurture strengths in singing and performance, as well as providing a sound and practical background to Musical Theatre. This workshop is essential for all singing teachers and students who want to be at the top of their game."

Pauline Ross at The Playhouse said: "These courses have already proved a massive success in Dublin, these provide an important resource for teachers and students to be encouraged and stimulated by the best of the best!"

The workshop will be held in The Playhouse on Saturday, October 29 from 9.30am- 4pm, places are competitive and limited. The fee is £75, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
