Spooky Halloween storyteller Grimm has ‘pinned' his support for The Playhouse by helping to launch a new fundraising pin for the theatre!
A custom metal pin has been released by the theatre to help patrons show support for their work.
The pin was launched this week by the Chairman of The Playhouse Board, Ian Doherty of Doherty's Meats, and writer and performer Peter E Davidson aka Halloween narrator "Grimm".
A keen supporter of The Playhouse for many years, as an actor, writer and comedian, Peter E Davidson will perform a night of grisly fairy tales at The Playhouse from Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 October.
"We're just delighted that local artists are supporting us in this way, and now our many supporters can also wear the new pins with pride as a symbol of their support" Niall McCaughan, CEO of The Playhouse said.
"The Arts sector is facing increasing financial challenges, most notably the cut to Arts Council funds and the loss of the Northern Ireland Tourism Events Fund, and this is just a small way for people to get on board and show that they value the vital contribution the Arts makes to the whole community. We are very much rooted in the community, and really appreciate the ongoing support from all sections of that community, both locally and nationally."
Aimed to raise awareness and promote the theatre, the pins will be available at The Playhouse Box Office with a suggested donation of at least £2.
