The Big Tickle Comedy Festival
The Big Tickle Comedy Festival, organised by The Playhouse, has taken place annually in Derry / Londonderry in N Ireland since 2004, showcasing an eclectic mix of stand up comedians, comedy plays, comedy training, master-classes & exhibitions.

A range of international comedians have appeared at the festival in venues throughout Derry including:
Alan Carr, Lenny Henry, Dara O’Briain, Rich Hall, Jerry Sadowitz, Colin Murphy, Sean Hughes, Neil Delamere, Stewart Lee, David O’Doherty, Kevin McAleer, Frankie Boyle, Jason Bynre, Lucy Porter and many more.

The Big Tickle Comedy Festival, in just three years, has grown to become N. Ireland’s largest Festival dedicated to Comedy with numbers for the 2007 festival at just over 5,000 – the largest audiences yet.

The Playhouse Children's Art Festival
The Playhouse Children's Art Festival is the longest running festival of its type in the North West and is held in the last two weeks in July of each year.

The festival for children aged 4-14 includes a variety of art, drama, dance, etc. workshops over a two week period culminating in a showcase of their work on the last day as well as the famous annual Children's Parade around the famous Walls of Derry.
