A Northern Ireland city, post the troubles...
Antigone, originally written by Sophocles almost 2,500 years ago is as relevant today as it was then.
Antigone and Ismene are the last of their family. Both their brothers, Eteocles and Polyneices, have just been killed in a battle.
Their uncle Creon has taken control of the city and outlaws the burial of Polyneices. Antigone's appalling dilemma is whether to obey Creon and offend the gods, or follow her heart and plunge her accursed family into a fresh cycle of violence by burying her brother.
