‘The Big Thud' is the latest theatrical showcase from The Foyle Disability Resource Centre Players.
This production promises wry humour and belly laughs on everyday flatfoot encounters with femme fatales and private eyes.
The Players, who came together as Foyle Disability Resource Centre users through a common love of drama, have formed their own theatre company. All of the Players are people with physical and sensory disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
The Players are now in their fifth year of working with the Playhouse, engaging people in a theatre workshop programme leading to an annual showcase in a professional theatre setting.
The Players attended weekly workshops and rehearsals over the past year under the guidance of North West Regional College theatre facilitator Bernie Mahon and this production has been penned by local playwright Eddie Kerr.
Everyone is welcome and entrance is free.
