Niamh (Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health) Beacon Support Services , The Rosses will host the launch of an"Intergenerational Art Exhibition inThe Playhouse, Derry, on Tuesday 3 July 2012. The event will be launched by a representative from Derry Inner City Trust, and will run until Thursday 5 July 2012.
The project encouraged Tenants at The Rosses and members of The Caw Youth Club to explore their creativitythrough the medium of Oils. The Artists, mostly first time paintershave created a collection of twenty eight paintings. The subject topic of which is mainly of Land and Seascape, using Oils, brush and palette knife. The group were tutored and guided by local artist David Fahey.
The Exhibition is sponsored by Derry Inner City Trust.
The Rosses is a high quality sheltered housing facility located in a quiet private location just off the Limavady Road. The scheme is managed on behalf of the Oaklee Homes Group by Niamh (the Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health) andincludes 34 self-contained single and double apartments along with a number of separate bungalows.
