The Production Exchange in association with Cambridge Devised Theatre presents EMILY – THE MAKING OF A MILITANT SUFFRAGETTE by Ros Connelly, directed by Kath Burlinson, performed by Elizabeth Crarer Saturday 29th March 2014 8pm

Emily Wilding Davison died under the galloping hooves of King George's Derby horse in 1913, campaigning for what she believed in.
Set in the context of women's struggle for the vote, ‘Emily' resonates with questions that still challenge the world today: repression of public protest, democracy, militancy, torture, women's rights and self-sacrifice.
This is the story of her life and death of an extraordinary woman pushed to extraordinary deeds.
