The Building Peace through the Arts - Re-Imaging Communities Programme is a 2 stage programme that aims to tackle sectarianism and racism across Northern Ireland and the Border Region of the Republic.
Artists are integral to the success of the programme and this event will explain the process and highlight the opportunities available for artists.
Each project will need artist facilitators to deliver a series of creative engagement workshops. Each project will commission a visual artist to create artwork in the public realm reflecting themes suggested by the local community. Appointments for both roles will be made by separate open competitions, being appointed as a facilitator will not preclude an artist from being considered to produce the public artwork.
A light lunch will be provided, for more information on the event contact Marlyn on 028 90 385228.
This project is part- financed by the European Union's Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACEIII) managed by the Special EU Programmes Body; the Arts Council of Northern Ireland; and the International Fund for Ireland.
