The Playhouse is delighted to announce that as part of the City of Culture programme, BBC Radio 4 will broadcast live from the award winning arts centre.
The ‘Broadcasting House' show is a Sunday morning magazine programme which takes a fresh look at the big news stories of the week. For two years BH has been taking a special interest in Derry, bringing its 2 million listeners stories from the city as part of its ‘Derry Diary' project.
As Derry prepares to become UK City of Culture, presenter Paddy O'Connell is bringing the show to The Playhouse for a special live broadcast before an audience. The show will include a newly commissioned play for voices by the Oscar-nominated local writer Dave Duggan, as well as the usual mix of news and interviews.
