Walls400 presents 2016 WALLS400 HISTORY LECTURE At St Columb's Cathedral Friday 16th September 2016 8pm

This year's speaker is Dr Breandán Mac Suibhne, of Centenary University, New Jersey, an historian of society and culture in modern Ireland, with a particular interest in the history of north-west Ulster. Dr Mac Suibhne will speak about The Maiden City and the City of Brotherly Love: personal stories from 18th century Derry and Philadelphia. The lecture will be preceded by a theatrical vignette to explain the events in the Plantation City of Londonderry of 1616, which have left an enduring legacy on both sides of the Atlantic. Complimentary refreshments will be available after the lecture at 9.00pm.
Tickets must be booked in advance through the Playhouse Box-office.
