The Dark Energy Trio
Thursday 2nd May, 8pm

The Dark Energy TrioDouble bass supremo Alan Niblock will be taking to the Playhouse stage, where he will be accompanied by top saxophonist Paul Dunmall and drummer Mark Sanders.

The Trio, who channel their talents into tje specialized art of improvisation, in their own words take their influence from "the mysteries of dark energy by investigating and exploring the musical possibilities of this phenonenon." One not to be missed.

David Lyttle featuring Jason Rebello
Friday 3rd May, 8pm

This year David brings with him the iconic pianist Jason Rebello, known for his work with Wayne Shorter and his long association with Sting. They will be accompanied by Damian Evans, arguably Ireland's most in-demand bassist, and the trio will be showcasing the hard-swinging contemporary jazz that has made David a household name in Irish jazz for the past decade.

Paul McIntyre Trio with special guest Richies Buckley on tenor sax with Dave Fleming on double bass and Myles Drennnan on drums.

John Leigton
Saturday 4th May, 8pm

The past couple of years have been good for John Leighton. The local musician and song writer has found favour with the critics following the release of his debut album 'Dramatic Life', and he hasn't looked back. This is Leighton's fourth appearance at the jazz festival, and the pianist continues to develop his own distinct musical style.

Club Cabaret
Sunday 5th May, 8pm

Enjoy the ambiance of a 1930's/40's Night Club setting inspired by The Great American Songbook,
Dress up and step out in the style reminiscent of the glamorous, glitzy and glorious heyday of stage and screen. Dance and romance or sit back and relax. Enjoy a glass of wine or Club Cabaret cocktail. Special Guest and Ballaré Dance Group.
